Delhi retained Tennis Title
University of Delhi retained the All India Inter-university Women Tennis title for the third consecutive year at St. Stephens college court on monday. Host University of Delhi scored a comfortable 2-0 win over last year's runner up Banglore University . Sanaa Bhambri beat Akshita 6-1, 6-2 while Ankita beat Asha 7-5, 6-0.
Mumbai University took the third place outplaying last year's All India semi-finalist Osmania University 2-0 in the match for losing semifinalist. Anil Khanna the president of Asian Tennis Fedration gave away the prizes and Trophies .Director Rajesh Kumar sponsored the Prizes to winner and runner-up teams.Vice-chancellor of Delhi University Dr. Deepak Pental was the chief guest.

Delhi University beat Banglore University 2-0 (Ankita Bhambari beat Asha of Banglore University 7-5, 6-0 and Sanaa beat Akshita 6-1, 6-2 )

Mumbai University beat Osmania Unversity, Hyderabad 2-0 (Deepana beat Rajeshwari 6-4, 6-3 and Radhika beat Shwetha 6-0, 6-0 )
