SGTB Khalsa retained Delhi UniversityHockey title

 Host SGTB Khalsa College retained Delhi University Hockey title in the Inter college tournament (Men) at the Khalsa college ground here today. Motilal Nehru (E) college secured 2nd place followed by Shyamlal and SRCC. In the last league encounter SGTB Khalsa outplayed SRCC by 7-0. In another league match Motilal Nehru (E) college defeated Shyamlal college.
Ajay Rathi of the Khalsa college was the Man of the match and man of the tournament who secured 4 goals (4minutes, 38minutes, 42minutes, 49minutes), while other scorer were Inderjeet Singh by 2 goals (26minutes, 61minutes) and Savinder Singh by 1 goal (55 minutes).
According to Khalsa team captain Piyush Upadhyaya and team hero Ajay Rathi "It was purely a group effort for their victory".
On this occasion president of  Delhi Gurdwara management committee  Sardar H.S. Sarna,DU Sports Council Chairman Professor C.P Dubey,College principal Dr. Jaswinder Singh and other  Sports teachers of colleges were also present.
